Delaware Veterans Parade

Honoring Sacrifices, Celebrating Heroes, and Building Community.

A Celebration of Valor: Our Mission

The Delaware Veterans Parade is more than just an annual event; it's a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our nation. Every year, we gather as a community to show our profound appreciation, ensuring that the stories of our heroes are not just remembered but celebrated, to thank our military heroes, along with inspiring our community, to honor the service of all Veterans. From the echoing sounds of marching bands to the reverent silence as we honor the fallen, every moment of the parade captures the essence of gratitude, respect, and community pride.

About Us… how to get involved

Mission Statement:  “To thank our military heroes, along with inspiring our community, to honor the service of all Veterans”

The Delaware Veterans Parade is now the largest Veteran’s parade in Ohio, with more than 1,600 participants. As the event has grown, we became a 501(c)(3) organization in 2025. Our committee includes both veterans and non-veterans who plan and coordinate the parade, and we are always looking for new people to get involved. We meet monthly in Delaware and also need volunteers to help in the lots on parade day. It is a rewarding opportunity to support our veterans and connect with the community. For more information, please email us at DelawareVeteransParade@Yahoo.com or follow us on Facebook for meeting details.

“Welcome Home”

We aim to rectify that, especially for the servicemen from Delaware County who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Through this parade, we strive to give these heroes the welcome they always deserved. With the participation of their families, the vibrant performances of our local bands, and the presence of distinguished guests, we're creating a tapestry of memories, respect, and enduring gratitude.

Join the Tribute: Be Part of the Legacy

The strength of the Delaware Veterans Parade lies in its community. From the young to the old, every member plays a pivotal role in making this event resonate with meaning. Whether you're a veteran, a family member of a serviceman, or simply a resident wanting to show your support, there's a place for you in this grand celebration. We invite you to participate, volunteer, or simply come as a spectator. Let's come together, celebrate our heroes, and ensure that their stories, sacrifices, and legacies live on for generations to come.
